Amsterdam, the capital of the Netherlands, is approximately 45 minutes’ drive from the resort Qurios Zandvoort. The city is known for its many tourists, the canals and the beautiful canal houses.

When you think about the centre of Amsterdam, you think of a canal cruise, the Royal Palace on Dam Square, the Flower Market, good restaurants and a visit to the Van Gogh Museum or the Rijksmuseum.

Shop until you drop! Amsterdam is a shoppers’ paradise. Put on comfortable shoes and get ready to go for a walk through the fantastic shopping areas! Get lost in the Jordaan or in the 9 streets that connect the canals and where the most exclusive and original shops can be found.

At 7 euros an hour, parking in Amsterdam is pricey. So why not try public transport? There’s a bus stop at the roundabout just outside the park. From here take bus number 81 to Zandvoort station. Tickets can be purchased on the bus (pin only) or you can walk from the resort to Zandvoort station in 20 minutes. Trains run every 30 minutes from Zandvoort station to Amsterdam Central Station. Train tickets can be purchased from the yellow vending machines at the station.

Haarlem

Haarlem is less than half an hour away! The capital of North Holland is also called Amsterdam’s little brother.

The city boasts a number of museums and offers great shopping, in fact, Haarlem has been named the best shopping city in the Netherlands for three years in a row.

You can park in the De Appelaar car park, but Haarlem is incredibly easy to reach by public transport from Qurios Zandvoort . Take bus number 81 from the roundabout just outside the park to Haarlem station. From there it is a maximum of ten minutes' walk to the city centre.

Beer lovers will enjoy a visit to the Jopenkerk, which offers a tour showing the entire beer brewing process. And who knows, you might even get to sample some...
