From our resort, holiday park Zandvoort, you can easily cycle to Haarlem, a city full of shops, restaurants and cultural sights. For the mountain bikers there is a challenging track around the race track but also the dunes themselves are an ideal destination for mountain biking.
The cycle paths and wide footpaths are accessible for people in wheelchairs.
A special Wombat beach wheelchair can be rented at visitor centre De Kennemerduinen. There is also a disabled WC here. Guide dogs for the blind and assistance dogs are allowed provided they are recognisable as such and in function.
Zandvoort is situated between National Park Zuid-Kennemerland and the Amsterdam Water Supply Dunes. Two dune parks with incredibly beautiful nature. It is not allowed to cycle through the Amsterdam Water Supply Dunes, but National Park Zuid-Kennemerland is bursting at the seams with cycle paths, all equipped with junctions.
With half an hour of cycling you are already in the centre of Haarlem. After you've arrived in the historic centre there are plenty of things to do, such as the Frans Hals museum, lunch at the golden streets and it's not for nothing that Haarlem has been voted best and most varied shopping city of the year in 2013!
