Qurios keeps a close eye on the latest developments regarding the Coronavirus and the guidelines of the Dutch government and foreign authorities. The guidelines can be found on the website of the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM)

The safety and health of our guests and employees are of paramount importance to Qurios. On this page, we will keep you up to date with the latest developments.

Extended rebooking options

Booking a holiday at the current time can be challenging and uncertain, which we fully understand. In order to offer our guests more certainty, we have extended our rebooking options. All guests with an arrival until October 1, 2020 can change their reservation free of charge up to 14 days before arrival into another period within 12 months after the initial arrival date.
 
If the new period is more expensive, extra costs will be charged. If the new period is cheaper, you will not get compensated. When rebooking a reservation, the original cancellation conditions remain applicable.

Are all Qurios holiday parks open?

Qurios Ameland is open, including the Brasserie, Take Away and Minishop. The QuriosClub has been opened with a custom program.

Qurios Bloemendaal is open, including the Brasserie, Take Away and Minishop. The QuriosClub has been opened with a custom program.

Qurios Zandvoort is open, including the Brasserie, Take Away and Minishop. The QuriosClub has been opened with a custom program.

Qurios Egmond aan Zee is open.

Qurios ECO Grevelingenstrand is open.

For the open parks, the reception, mini shop and bike rental are open. For the parks where the take-away is open, special guidelines have to be followed to make the take-away service as safe as possible. These include:

  • You can only pick up your order, we will not deliver the food to your house.
  • Please call 0031 232050213 in advance to order your food
  • Please keep a minimum distance of 1.5 metres between you and other people
  • Maximum 1 person indoors at a time.
  • Please pay by card. If you wish to pay with cash,we will ask you to avoid hand contact and to put the money on the counter.

What measures does Qurios take to prevent the spread of the virus?

The safety of our guests and employees is of paramount importance at Qurios. Measures have been taken at all Qurios parks to prevent the coronavirus from spreading. This has consequences for our employees and guests who have planned a holiday.​

  • Park employees work according to a strict protocol, entirely according to the RIVM guidelines.
  • Guests are made aware of the RIVM guidelines when handing over the keys. Our employees supervise compliance of these guidelines.
  • Thorough cleaning of the cottages with professional cleaning products.
  • Bed, bath and kitchen linen are washed above 60 degrees (virus-killing).

I want to cancel my holiday because of the outbreak of the Coronavirus. Is this possible?

Due to the special circumstances, Qurios will currently not refund the sum already paid, but you will receive a voucher of the value of the amount you already paid. We offer this for reservations with an arrival date up to 1 June 2020. The voucher can be used up to 12 months after the original arrival date to book a new stay, with a maximum arrival date of 30 September 2021. Only if the new stay is more expensive, additional costs will be charged.

I am not allowed to go on holiday in my hometown. What can I do to change or cancel my booking?

Reservations with an arrival date up to 1 June 2020 may be immediately rebooked to another period within 12 months of the original arrival date. We also offer the possibility to receive a voucher of the value of the already paid travel sum. This voucher can be used up to 12 months after the original arrival date to book a new stay, with a maximum arrival date of 30 September 2021.

For both of the above options, additional costs will only be charged if the new stay is more expensive.

When am I entitled to receive a voucher?

If you have made a reservation with an arrival date between 13 March 2020 and 1 June 2020 and are unable or unwilling to travel due to the Corona crisis, you can claim a voucher.

The voucher has the value of the travel sum already paid and is redeemable for a new stay up to 12 months after the original arrival date. The maximum new arrival date is 30 September 2021.

Does the cancellation insurance cover the costs if I want to cancel?

The cancellation insurance  of the company Allianz that Qurios if offering does not cover the outbreaks of infectious diseases, such as the coronavirus. There are insurances that do reimburse this, if you have your own cancellation insurance you should contact your insurer yourself to check this.

Is the ferry to Ameland still operating?

Since 1 June 2020, the ferry and express service on the Ameland-Holwerd and Holwerd-Ameland route will once again operate according to the regular timetable (with limited capacity, 40% of the maximum capacity). The water taxi is available on call on both routes for a maximum of two passengers per departure. 

From 16 June 2020, online reservations will be compulsory for everyone. This applies to both outward and return journeys.

Is there currently entertainment available in the parks?

All Qurios parks offer activities or an animation programme. Currently, there is an adjusted summer programme where the kids can borrow fun gadgets, sports, and game materials, also known as Qurios Gear, or do exciting assignments from the QuriosTV.

The Qurios Club borrow on Qurios Ameland, Bloemendaal aan Zee and Zandvoort is open every week on the following days:
Monday to Sunday
From 10:00 to 12:00
From 14:00 to 16:00
From19:00 to 21:00

The Qurios Club borrow at Qurios Egmond aan Zee and ECO Grevelingenstrand is open every week on the following days:
Monday to Sunday
From 08:00 to 11:00
From 16:00 to 19:00

Are you staying at Qurios ECO Grevelingenstrand? Rent your own SUP or canoe at the reception and go directly from your cottage on the water! 

Can I stay with several households in one holiday home?

For the 4-person accommodations applies

Qurios Ameland: Kooikers Comfort, Royal Sier, Wadden Special:

This is a 4-person accommodation with two sleeping quarters. 
If you come with 1 household, then 4 persons are allowed.
Because Qurios must be able to guarantee the 1.5 meter measure, you can stay here with a maximum of 2 households. 

For the 4-person accommodations applies

Qurios Bloemendaal: Sea House Adventure,
Qurios Ameland: Lighthouse Adventure,
Qurios ECO Grevelingenstrand: Eco Cottage:

This is a 4-person accommodation with two sleeping quarters. 
If you come with 1 household, then 4 persons are allowed.

For the 8-person accommodations applies,
Qurios Zandvoort: Royal Amsterdam 8:

This is an 8-person accommodation with four sleeping quarters. 
Because Qurios must be able to guarantee the 1.5-metre measure, you can stay here with a maximum of 3 households. 

What do we mean by a household?

We see a household as: spouses, registered partners or other life partners, parents, grand-parents and kids, as long as they live at the same adress.

Can I receive visitors in my holiday home?

It is currently unfortunately not allowed to receive visitors in your holiday home. We can then no longer guarantee the safety of our other guests.
