Dogs on holiday

Holiday Callantsoog with your dog

On holiday in Callantsoog your faithful four-legged friend should not be missing! Our park Qurios Callantsoog has a few accommodations where you can bring a maximum of two dogs per cottage. The park is situated next to the dunes and close to the beach, ideal to get a breath of fresh air together.

Callantsoog cottages with dog

Because not all our guests are always very fond of dogs, we ask you to take this into account and to keep your dog on a leash in the park at all times and not to leave your dog alone in the cottage. Due to correct availability and registration, it is mandatory to indicate when booking that your four-legged friend is coming with you. You pay €5.00 per night for the dog.

Summer period (April to October)
During the summer period your dog is only allowed on a leash on the beach between 09.00 and 20.00 hours. From 20:00 your dog is allowed on the beach. Enough time to get a breath of fresh air together!

Winter period (October to April)
During the winter period your dog is welcome on the beach during the whole day. The beach is entirely designated as a place to run loose and your dog does not have to be on a leash!

Surroundings tips with your dog

During your holiday in Callantsoog there are also many places outside the beach where you can walk. So your dog is really part of the holiday. We have put together the nicest places in the area for you.

  • Within walking distance of Qurios Callantsoog you will find Nollenland van Abbestede. In this nature reserve you are in the middle of the old dunes and you see special flora and many birds. Dogs are allowed on a leash in this nature reserve.
  • In the Luttickduin, a fifteen minute walk from Qurios Callantsoog, you will also find a beautiful nature reserve. Dogs are allowed here all year round.
  • Would you like to drive 20 minutes for a longer walk? Then the Schoorlse Duinen is the right place for you. Here you will find more than 100 kilometres of footpaths. From 1 March to 1 September dogs are allowed on a leash and outside this period dogs are allowed loose.
