In 2002, eight months before the invasion of Iraq, the Military captured and imprisoned a supernatural entity at Stormhouse, a secret underground base. This film documents the final four days of that experiment.
Qurios are proud to have supplied titles, graphics and VFX work for this new British horror movie. The work featured extensive use of green screen and rotoscoping to place actors in extended digital sets.
Another sequence required multiple takes of a medical centre to be combined seamlessly to create the effect of a ghost destroying the equipment while three actors look on.
The sequence involved weeks of careful masking and removal of wires and stunt artists. Although labour intensive the end result is extremely effective.
Qurios have just completed a major new commercial for National Homebuyers. The ad features ten original characters, designed and built by our in-house team.
As well as redesigning National Homebuyerman, who had featured in older campaigns, the team was tasked with creating two cheerleaders and a street of homeowners including a young couple, a family of four and two pensioners.
The cast of characters dance along the street as they sing along to a musical track.
As well as completing the 30 second commercial Qurios also supplied a number of print sized rendered images for use in print and online promotional material.
Qurios have completed a CG Animated commercial for Minerva Magazine, featuring a Roman swordsman, an Egyptian Princess and a Greek Goddess.
The commercial, directed by Chris Chatterton, features a computer generated magazine that opens up to reveal animated characters emerging from within its pages. Minerva is the leading international publication focusing on archaeology, the antiquities markets, and exhibitions.
Enjoyed by academics, specialists and the public, Minerva is published six times a year and features a broad range of articles, news, book reviews and listings of upcoming events.
A series of animated idents for MattressMan.co.uk. Qurios were asked to create a series of new idents to be broadcast around Peter Andre: The Next Chapter, and Kerry Katona: The Next Chapter, both on ITV 2.
The Mattress Man model was animated in a red carpet scene, and in a bedroom location.

The character of Sally was animated in Cel Action, and
composited into the liveaction background plates using After Effects and
Final Cut Pro.
A series of three 2D animated commercials featuring three birds looking for the best deal on their car insurance.
The stylised design used a different background for each commercial and featured three different bird characters.

After the success of the first Quality Solicitors brand campaign a return to the beautiful world created by Qurios was quickly commissioned. The second ad in the campaign focused on personal injury claims, and featured an injured worker falling from a faulty ladder.
While some characters returned from the original advert new ones needed to be designed,built and rigged for animation.

As well as producing two national commercials Qurios have also provided numerous rendered images for use on the clients website ,and in the Quality Solicitors stores.
CBBC's flagship series returns for a second series, now with the help of 2D animation by Qurios. Working closely with the production team we delivered almost eight minutes of original 2D animation.
The animated segments were directed by Chris Chatterton at Qurios who liaised closely with illustrator Nick Sharratt to translate his drawing style into moving images.
Animators Matt Turner and Ciarán Wright brought to life dozens of sequences, creating dynamic transition effects to help blend live-action footage into the animated segments.
